New versions of your SolarWinds products are now available

We’re pleased to announce the general availability of SolarWinds® Server & Application Monitor (SAM) 6.6, Virtualization Manager (VMAN) 8.2, and Storage Resource Monitor (SRM) 6.6. These products continue to propel SolarWinds as a leader in hybrid IT monitoring and are built on the Orion® Platform. These features add best–in–class ability to discover relationships between application and servers, agent–based support for IBM® AIX systems, and continued support for the latest flash arrays.

SAM 6.6

SAM continues to deliver enterprise and custom application support regardless of where the server resides. IT administrators can now leverage the following features to help application uptime and mitigate end-user performance issues.

Application Dependency — Automatically discover the relationships between applications and servers, based on active application communication, helping ensure you are monitoring and managing all dependent applications and servers.

Connection Details — Visualize the communication-based relationships between application and servers. Analyze network performance and application process utilization performance metrics such as:

  • Latency
  • Packet loss
  • CPU and memory usage
  • Read and write IOPS

Quickly determine where you should focus your troubleshooting efforts (is it the network or the application?), allowing you to find and fix the root cause of your application issue.
